General Information
Division of Physics Education curriculum mainly covers the physics education research area. We focus on developing teaching materials, testing and evaluation by taking the students' needs and expectations into account, especially on topics such as knowledge and skills which are relevant to physics teacher training program.
History

In 1982, in accordance with the Higher Education Law No. 2547, Education Faculties were established and the task of training teachers for primary and secondary education was given to these faculties. Accordingly, chemistry, physics, biology and mathematics teachers were trained in the Department of Science Education. The first student recruitment was made with the pre-registration procedures in 1982-1983 academic year, and in the following years, students were accepted with OSYM and the number of students admitted each year is 20.
